A Summersville man was killed Friday night in Howell County after he hit another vehicle head-on as he was driving in the wrong lane, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Dead is Weancie D. Briggs, 80, who was pronounced dead at the scene about six miles east of Willow Springs.
Cpl. C.A. Hogue said Briggs’ eastbound vehicle was traveling in the westbound lane and struck a 2005 Toyota head-on driven by Scott A. Meyer, 49, of Cape Girardeau.
Myers was taken with minor injuries to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Hogue said both drivers were wearing seat belts.
