Atnip named TCMH employee of the month

MaryAnn Atnip of Salem was recently named Texas County Memorial Hospital’s August employee of the month.

Atnip, the administrative secretary at TCMH, has worked two years at the hospital. Belynda Boyd, obstetrics department supervisor at TCMH, nominated her for the award.

“MaryAnn goes above and beyond for anyone needing her assistance,” Boyd said.

She noted that Atnip assists all departments throughout the hospital whenever there is a need. She said Atnip is “very professional” with all customers — staff at TCMH, patients and visitors.

“MaryAnn takes responsibility for reminding everyone of meetings and important dates, and she anticipates needs before they occur,” Boyd said

As employee of the month, Atnip received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; a $50 gift card; gift certificates to D&L Florist and to Healing Hands of Houston; and CD of the month from KUNQ.

A reception is planned at the hospital in honor of Atnip, who is eligible for the 2010 TCMH employee of the year award.
