Charlesteen Drain, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Willow Care Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Amarillo, Texas, daughter of Fred and Juanita Elkins Hicks.
She was known as “Charlie” and taught kindergarten and Sunday school. She was a member of the Wasola Fairies as a child and enjoyed singing in church. She loved working in her garden and her woodworking shop, creating birdhouses and cooking. She battled Alzheimer’s.
She was preceded in death by three husbands and two children.
Services were Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Roby Assembly of God Church with Brother Bob Troutt officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Wasola under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
