Dolphis Dewain Hall, 78, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at Kabul Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1931, in Houston, son of Roe and Esther Simms Hall. He and Hazel Massey were married March 14, 1958.
He grew up in the Tyrone area and attended Big Creek School. He joined the Air Force on Oct. 30, 1951, and was honorably discharged Sept. 30, 1959.
He worked for the International Shoe Company and Brown Shoe. He loved to fish, pitch horseshoes, play cards, and camp with his wife, Hazel. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel; and his son, Bobby Hall.
Survivors include two grandsons and two brothers, Bill Hall of Springfield and Dean Hall of Tyrone.
Graveside services were Monday, Sept. 13, in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
