Houston police investigated the theft of contents from a purse and were called to a vehicle vandalism report during the last week.

Officers:

-Charged Richard A. Weatherston Jr., 23, of 800 Dooley St., with failure to place right side of vehicle against right side of roadway on Sept. 12.

-Investigated a vehicle vandalism complaint from Kayley Ivie, 20, 424 King St., who reported that someone had taken markers and painted confetti on her vehicle’s windows on Sept. 15.

-Cited Megan Neal, 27, 302 W. Mill, with public peace disturbance on Sept. 19. Police and a county deputy responded to the scene, where Neal was reportedly issuing threats.

-Investigated a Sept. 16 call from Melissa Parks, 510 W. Chestnut, who reported that a purse hidden under a car seat had been pilfered. The car had been unlocked, according to a report. Missing was a debit card, $8 cash and some change. She notified her bank about the loss of the card.

-Received a call Sept. 17 from Judy Chaney, 805 Augusta, who observed juveniles who threw bottles in her yard. She asked them to pick them up and two began yelling and cursing at her, according to a report. They were referred to the juvenile office.
