Linda Lee Norris, 68, of Hartshorn, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at her home.

She was born Feb. 24, 1942, in Marengo, Ill., daughter of Lester and Irene Swallisch Schuring. She and Jack Gene Norris were married Dec. 19, 1959.

She retired from GTE in Genoa, Ill., after serving more than 28 years. After retiring, she and her husband built a home on the family farm. She then worked at Pineview Christian Home until she became ill. She accepted Christ at the Presbyterian Church in Illinois at a young age.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Jerry Schuring; and a sister, Karen Ashley.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jack Norris of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Patrick of and Debora Norris of Rockford, Ill,; her mother, Irene Schuring of Belvidere, Ill.; a brother, Charlie Schuring of Belvidere, Ill.; two sisters, Donna Dobbratz of Woodstock, Ill., and Nancy Johnson of Knoxville, Tenn; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members.

Services were Monday, Aug. 30, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Leon Michel officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
