The Lady Tigers volleyball team earned its first SCA victory of the season with a 25-18, 25-11 win Tuesday night at Willow Springs.

Sarah Pierce had a team-high 10 kills for Houston (5-5, 1-0 SCA). Erica Keeney and Kaitlyn Kell had nine kills apiece.

Tory Burgess led the Lady Tigers with 19 assists. Alexa Ichord had three. Lainey Casper had three of the team’s six aces.

The Lady Tigers have won three straight matches since losing four times at the Branson Tournament.

“I feel like we are playing well,” Houston coach Amy McNew said. “We are playing with confidence.”

On Thursday, the Lady Tigers beat Conway 25-14, 25-21.

JV VOLLEYBALL: The JV Lady Tigers improved to 6-0 with a 25-15, 25-17 victory Monday night at Willow Springs.

Demi Pittman had a team-best nine kills for Houston, which has won all of its matches in straight sets. Kenzie Scheets and Sydney Cremer added four kills apiece.

Amber Sillyman had 13 of the team’s 22 assists. Scheets added five.

Sarah Garrett had six aces.
