Houston High School graduate Lexie Malam was named Lindenwood University’s female athlete of the week.
Malam had a pair of double-doubles for the Lindenwood women’s volleyball team last week. She recorded 24 assists and 18 digs versus Benedictine, and then had 17 assists and 10 digs against Carroll College. She also had three service aces in the two contests. For the week, Malam averaged 4.5 assists and 3.1 digs a game.
Malam, a senior biochemistry major, appeared in 40 matches and 139 games last season. She was second on the team with 190 assists.
