Painter named TCMH employee of the month

Sheena Painter was recently named Texas County Memorial Hospital’s September employee of the month.

Painter is the registered nurse pharmacy coordinator in the hospital pharmacy, and she has worked at the hospital for six years. She was nominated for the award by David Phipps, the pharmacist and her supervisor at TCMH.

“Sheena has worked hard in team building and mentoring technicians in the pharmacy,” Phipps said.

He noted that Painter has played a key role in helping the pharmacy restructure in recent months.

“Sheena strives for excellence, and she’s always positive and helpful,” Phipps said. “She is very effective in her communication with others.”

As employee of the month, Painter received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; a $50 gift card; gift certificates to D&L Florist and Healing Hands of Houston; and CD of the month from KUNQ.

A reception is planned at the hospital in honor of Painter, who is eligible for the 2010 TCMH employee of the year award.
