Aleda Creek, 99, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010.
She was born March 16, 1911, daughter of David and Alice Foulk.
She graduated from Summersville High School in 1929 and began a career as a school teacher. She retired in 1974 from Summersville Schools.
She loved spending time with her family and teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and quilting.
She was saved at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elvie; two children, Noel and Russell Creek; and 10 siblings, Effie Burt, Hattie Robinson, Orba Casper, Beulah Stevenson, Percy Foulk, Bernice Reed, Goldia McCallister, Anges Hobbs, Omega Bailey and Harry Foulk.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Wuertley of Summersville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Services were Friday, Nov. 5, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Miller officiating.
