Donald Eugene Harmon, 79, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010.

He was born June 3, 1931, in Bartonville, Ill., son of Everett R. and Golda L. Marth Harmon.

A member of the Armed Forces, he served with the 58th Ordnance Ammo Company in South Korea from 1952-’54. He received the Korean Service Ribbon, United States Service Medal, National Service Medal in Defense, Merit United Citation and three Bronze Service Stars.

He and his wife, Dee, loved to travel and along with their daughter, visited numerous areas of the country. They had the largest mobile Avon collection, which was displayed at various locales as “DonDee The Greatest Collection on Wheels.”

He was an active and ranking member of the Moose Lodge Fraternity and lifetime member of Licking VFW Post 6337.

He retired to Edgar Springs in 1976.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly “Dee” Mae Harmon; and many other family members and friends.

Survivors include numerous siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Services were Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Orval Wayne Robbins officiating.
