Two Texas County teenagers were injured Saturday night when the driver swerved to miss a deer, ran down an embankment and overturned.
Tpr. Myron Downey of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Rebecca E. Sullins, 16, of Licking, was driving a westbound 2004 Chevrolet pickup on Highway AF about 6 ½ miles west of his hometown.
A passenger, Kyle J. Gross, 17, who had moderate injuries and was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. Sullins also wasn’t wearing a seat belt and refused treatment at the scene for her minor injuries, Downey said.
The vehicle was totaled.
