A Plato man was moderately injured early Wednesday when he fell asleep at the wheel and failed to negotiate a curve on Highway AW in northwest Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. Myron Downey said Andrew N. Wasson’s northbound 2003 Chevrolet truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, the driver overcorrected, causing it to overturn in the highway before landing on the left side of the pavement.
Wasson, 24, was taken to a Fort Leonard Wood hospital.
Downey said the truck was totaled. The driver was wearing a seat belt, the trooper said.
