Three persons were injured during a 5:15 a.m. accident Monday at Elk Creek.

Three persons were injured early Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Highway H at Elk Creek, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Logan Elliott said a westbound 2006 Saturn Ion driven by Jenny L. Means, 57, of Mountain Grove, partially ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go off the left side of the roadway and overturn.

Mean’s injuries were moderate, and she was flown to St. John’s Hospital. Two passengers, Shawn H. Freeman, 18; and Joslyn L. Goldsmith, 17, both of Mountain Grove, were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston with minor injuries.

Elliott said the vehicle was totaled. He said the driver was wearing a seat belt, but the two passengers were not.
