Deloris Jean House

Funeral services for Deloris Jean House, 80, of West Plains, were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. House died at 12:08 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, in Ozarks Medical Center. She was born Sept. 21, 1930, at Trail Hollow in Ozark County, Mo., to Jesse Earl and Myrtle Luzetta Parsley Bell.

She received her education in the schools of Dora, Mo., and was married to Glenn Hicks. On Aug. 25, 1978, she was married at West Plains, Mo., to Johnny Junior House, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1994.

She is survived by four children, Tony House of West Plains, Mo., Loretta Ann Pendergrass and husband, Otis, of Batesville, Ark., Bobbie Jo Wiggs and husband, Harold, of Houston, Mo., and Katherine Jane “Kathy” Watts and husband, Gregg, of Sparta, Mo; a daughter-in-law, Kaye Hicks of Grand Junction, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Bell of Mountain Home, Ark., and Cleon Bell of Kissee Mills, Mo.; three sisters, Etta Jane Fowler of Kansas City, Mo., Leota Williams ofWarsaw, Mo., and Oleta Webb of Felton, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Glendel Eugene Hicks; two daughters, Wanda Sue Ledbetter and Lena Ruth Hicks; and a brother, Donald Bell.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial was in Howell Valley Cemetery.
