Hazel Ruth Williamson

Hazel Ruth Williamson, 72, daughter of Mel and Goldie (Jackson) Jaramillo, was born Jan. 13, 1938, in Cerro, N.M. She passed away Nov. 29, 2010, at the Kabul Nursing Home.

Ruth attended Wendell Elementary School in Wendell, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Melvin Jaramillo; and a brother-in-law, Jiggs McGuire.

Ruth is survived by four daughters, Debra, Delores and Meloney Dilka of Denver, Colo., and Louann Howard of Virginia; three sisters, Anita McGuire of Houston, Mo., Joyce Barner of Lacey, Wash., and Ramona DeGiorgio of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren, Tenisha, Julius, Brian, Taya and Nycole; six great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Silis, Jayden, Tyson, Elayna and Payton; and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by a very special friend and companion, Loren Wentzel of Cabool, Mo. “Hazel Ruth Williamson, the best friend that Loren Wetzel ever had.”

She loved dancing when she was younger, in later years, camping with her children and grandchildren. Ruth had an extensive earring collection and spent many hours doing words puzzles and crocheting.

Ruth was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Sister and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
