Mable Lillian Ellen Walker, 64, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Life Care Center of Waynesville.

She was born May 4, 1946, in Willow Springs, daughter of Eugine and Zelma Johnson Moore. She and Charles T. Walker were married Nov. 17, 1963.

She fought many years against diabetes and heart disease. The last two years she spent in the Life Care facility she made friends and added members to her family. She loved putting puzzles together, doing beadwork, sewing and embroidery.

She was raised in the Willow Springs and West Plains areas and attended schools there until the 11th grade. She worked at Brown Shoe Company for 10 years and then worked at H.D. Lee for nine years until her health made it impossible to work.

Mable loved embroidery, crochet, fishing, hunting, cooking and making quilts and doilies for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; and a brother, Thomas Moore.

Survivors include a daughter, Lillie Feltz; a grandson; three sisters, Sandy McCormick of Springdale, Ark., and Louise Smith and Grace Mings of Mountain Grove; a brother, Donnie Moore of Springdale, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
