The Missouri Department of Conservation reports the deer harvest is down. Muzzleloader season opened over the weekend.

The opening weekend of the muzzleloader deer season saw 62 killed, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.

The total was 61, said Jeff Crites, a conservation agent. The breakdown: Antlered bucks, 16; button bucks, 11; and does, 12.

The top counties in Missouri were: Macon, 107; Oregon, 102; and Franklin, 92.
