Ola Mae Lemons, 95, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Houston House.
She was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Sapulpa, Okla., daughter of William David and Matilda Jones Braninburg. She and Clearn Lemons were married Jan. 27, 1942. He died March 28, 1981.
She grew up in the Glenpool, Okla., area. Her family moved to the Huggins community from Liberty Mounds, Okla., in the summer of 1958.
She worked in the laundry department at Fort Leonard Wood for 20 years and retired in 1980.
She enjoyed reading her Bible, quilting and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved her family and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clearn; a daughter, Joann Rust; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorene Crewse of Huggins; a brother, Coney Braninburg of Stockton, Calif; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 27, at Number One Free Will Baptist Church of Huggins with the Rev. J.R. Jones officiating. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home
