A Plato woman was injured Sunday when her vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on ice-covered Highway 17 in northwest Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
A 1997 Ford F150 driven southbound by Denise K. Thompson, 50, ran off the roadway and struck a ditch, said Tpr. Myron Downey.
Thompson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The truck sustained minor damage following the mishap about one mile south of Evening Shade, Downey said.
