Emergency personnel are aiding one person hurt in the Mark Twain National Forest.

A rescue effort occurred Tuesday afternoon in the Paddy Creek Wilderness Area in northwest Texas County.

Authorities said a man apparently broke his leg overnight and was about a mile or so from a campground.

Roby volunteers, along with Texas County Rescue, assisted in the effort to bring the unidentified man to safety.

A Texas County Memorial Hospital crew also was at the scene.

A name was not readily available.
