Roger Ellis Sears, 43, of Cabool, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was born Sept. 6, 1967, in Mansfield, son of Jim and Helen Strong Sears. He and Chanda French were married July 7, 2007.
He grew up in Cabool and graduated from Cabool High School in 1986. After graduation, he moved to Kansas City until joining the Army in 1988. He returned to Cabool after receiving his discharge and went to work for Arkansas Power and Electric.
He enjoyed manual labor, joking with others, riding his motorcycle, spending time at Walmart and his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Chanda of the home; a daughter, Ashley Sears of Cabool; a son, Austin Sears of the home; a stepson, Skylar McKee of the home; his parents, Jim and Helen Sears of Cabool; a grandmother, Edna Strong of Cabool; a brother, Brad Sears of Cabool; two grandchildren, Aceton and Addilyn; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Maness Memorial Baptist Church in Cabool with the Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home.
