Two Houston men were injured in an accident early Friday south of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Two Houston men were injured early Christmas Eve when their truck began sliding south of Licking, overturned and struck a tree.

Tpr. Logan Elliott said a northbound 2001 Ford F150 truck driven by Jeremy W. Carney, 38, was involved in the 3:40 a.m. accident about four miles south of Licking on U.S. 63.

Carney and a passenger, Joel L. Ross, 26, were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt, Elliott said.
