Jason R. McGowan of Mountain Grove was arrested last week by the Houston Police Department at Texas County Memorial Hospital for having two outstanding warrants.
At about 4:20 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, two officers were dispatched to the hospital regarding assisting in removing custody of a newborn. McGowan, 28, was the child’s father and found to have traffic violation warrants in Cabool and Wright County.
He was take to the Texas County Jail and failed to post bond of $172.50.
The following are other matters dealt with last week by Houston Police:
Jessica L. Andrews of Pomona was issued a citation for failure to register a vehicle. Andrews, 20, was driving a white Jeep Cherokee on First Street at about 5:15 p.m. when an officer observed the vehicle’s tags had expired in October.
Jeremy Sanders of 113 Cedar St. in Houston was issued a citation for operating a vehicle while licensed revoked. Sanders, 28, was stopped at about 11:05 p.m. while driving a green Chevrolet Cavalier at a high rate of speed on First Street.
Jami L. Carmack of 7023 Highway KK in Hartshorn, was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart.
Carmack, 27, was observed by a worker putting several items from the girls clothing department into a tote bag in her cart. She was then seen leaving the store without paying and was approached by the employee and two assistant managers. She was taken back into the store and produced the stolen items, worth $141.
Judy M. Gettys of 902 W. Chestnut in Houston was issued a citation for failure to register a vehicle. Gettys, 66, was driving a silver Pontiac Grand Prix on Chestnut Street at about 11:50 a.m. when an officer observed the vehicle pass through a stop sign without stopping. The officer issued the citation after determining that the tags on Gettys’ car had expired in October and wrote her a warning for not stopping at a stop sign.
