A crash between a car and a Plato School District bus killed the vehicle’s driver Friday morning.
She was Stella Burden, 53, of Falcon.
Authorities said the crash happened at 6:30 a.m. one mile east of Lynchburg on Highway 32. No students were on the bus, and the driver, 40-year-old Nallena R. McComas, was not injured.
Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators believe the driver of the 2004 Buick hit a slick spot on the road; the car crossed the centerline and was broadsided by the bus.
