Residents of Houston and Texas County now have a local option for purchasing items for new home construction or upgrading their current homes.
Located on North U.S. 63 in the Houston Plaza next to the motor vehicle licensing center, Cabinets ‘n’ More is just that – a place that not only offers cabinets for any room in the house, but also counter tops, sinks, faucets, windows, doors, siding, stair parts and more.
Owner Keith Andreen moved from Dayton, Ohio, to Texas County 15 years ago. He said he came to visit his wife’s sister and ended up buying a small farm.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Andreen went right to work in the home improvement field for years, gaining experience with cabinetry and other aspects while employed at several big-box stores.
He did plenty more cabinet work while spending the past 15 years working at Scott Material in Licking.
Not only does Cabinets ‘n’ More sell the equipment needed for home improvement, but Andreen can also help people with design. That’s an area in which he says he can really make a positive difference for people.
“Realistically, I have 30 years of experience working with cabinets,” Andreen said. “It’s kind of a specialty niche; there’s just not a lot of people who understand the process involved in cabinets – and it is a process.
“But it’s a lot of fun.”
Cabinets ‘n’ More is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
