The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory today.

A round of snow overnight left roads partly covered in Texas County and closed school districts.

The snow comes ahead of wickedly cold temperatures, the National Weather Service said. A wind chill advisory remains in effect from 10 o’clock tonight until noon Wednesday.

Wind chill values of 5 above to 8 below will occur Tuesday morning. Values will remain in the single digits this afternoon, and wind chill values will drop to 10 to 15 below zero late this evening into Wednesday morning.

There have been no injury-related accidents reported in the county. Last night Houston police were called to the west city limits where a car and truck collided. There were no injuries reported
