The Houston Tigers concluded the Cabool Holiday Tournament last Wednesday with a 70-53 loss to Eminence.
Curry Van Horn hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 18 points and senior Rodney Preheim, who missed the previous game with an ankle injury, had 13. Freshman Aaron Cantrell scored a career-high eight points.
After losing the tournament opener to Thayer, the Tigers (2-7) beat Couch 66-60 Tuesday in the consolation bracket.
On Wednesday, Houston trailed 22-17 after the opening quarter and by 12 at the half.
Jesse Dacey led Eminence with 23 points. He hit four of the team’s eight triples.
