Wilma J. Colter, 78, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011.
She was born April 19, 1932, in Doe Run, daughter of Bill and Mary Peters Miller. She and Ivan D. Colter were married Jan. 27, 1951.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 890 Ladies Auxiliary of Raymondville. She enjoyed attending Crossroads Community Church. She was a homemaker and loved being a certified nurses technician, taking care of the elderly.
She enjoyed cooking, playing cards with family and friends, reading the Bible, working crossword puzzles and spending time with family.
She was baptized at the age of 13 along with her sister, Juanita, at the Reformation Church of God in St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan; a brother, William M. Miller Jr.; two sisters, Ruth I. Miller, and Linda L. Cappiello; and a daughter, Diane R. Connelly.
Survivors include a brother, G. Mack Miller; a sister, Jaunita J. Barton; and five children, Sharon J. Colter, Sheila K. Kamyk, Steve P. Colter, Gary L. Colter and Angela E. Colter.
Services were Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Dorvan Stringer and the Rev. Emmett Bradford officiating. Burial was in Midvale Cemetery.
