Barbara A. Carrell, 50, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at her home in Licking.

She was born Aug. 26, 1960, in Mexico, Mo., daughter of Walter V. and Mamie L. Thomas Maddox.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, crossword puzzles, sewing, cooking and baking cakes for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Matthew Vernon.

Survivors include two children, Elizabeth Maddox and Brandy Carrell of the home; two grandchildren; three brothers, Mike Maddox of Mexico, Mo., Joey Maddox of Rolla and James Maddox of Fulton; two sisters, Martha Stark of Licking and Sandra Blankenship of New Bloomfield; a half-sister, Mary Lovan Maddox; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Memorial services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Abounding Hope Church. The body was cremated under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
