Karen A. Chambers, 55, died Feb. 1, 2011. Born in St. Louis to Paul and Margie Hodges, she was raised in Gray Summit.
She spent many years in the healthcare industry, which she enjoyed. At the time of her death, she was a registered nurse at Rolla Manor, where she cared for the elderly.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Chambers; siblings Lynn Jordan, Sharon Turner, Kevin Hodges, Catherine Scarbough and Danny Hodges of South Carolina; and relatives in Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held later.
