Texas County Sheriff’s Department received several calls and officers responded to several incidents last week.
Here is a report:
Jan. 28
–A Houston woman called to report that her boyfriend who she has a child with was drunk and was at her Jackson Road residence beating on the door. When an officer arrived, the woman said the man was gone.
–A call came in regarding people sitting in the drive at the MoDOT shed on U.S. 63. A responding officer found nobody there.
–A man called to report that a Stihl MS 260 chainsaw was lost and had fallen out of a Boone Township truck.
–A Plato man came to the TCSD office and reported that eight online purchases had been made with his credit card without his approval. The man was given a Missouri Attorney General’s identity theft report form to fill out and return.
Jan. 29
–A Licking woman came to the TCSD office to report that prescription medication had been stolen from her Dorman Road residence. The woman reported that two boys she did not know had delivered wood to her house and she had let them go inside to get a drink. She stated that after they were gone, she noticed the medication was missing.
–A Houston man called to report that someone was shooting guns on his Stillman Road property. An officer spoke to the shooters and they agreed to leave.
–A man called and stated that there may be a sexual assault going on and that he was running for his life. An investigating officer went to the location on Highway M north of Cabool and spoke to several people including the caller, but no victims came forward.
Jan. 30
–A man called to report two donkeys on the road near Highway 38 and Higgins Road. An investigating officer located the animals, and they were placed on nearby land.
–A Houston man called to report that someone had knocked on the window of his Lundy Road residence. A responding officer was unable to locate anyone in the area.
