A Houston church is hosting a two-day purity conference for teenage girls this weekend.
The Pink Lid is an all-out girls’ event of beauty, purity, fashion, prizes, food, speakers, music and much more. It’s from 6-10:30 p.m. Friday and 1-8 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Houston. Girls ages 12-18 are invited to attend. Cost is $23 at the door. Registration is the opening 30 minutes Friday evening.
The Pink Lid ladies, who tour the country and host conferences, deal with topics relevant for today’s teenage girl. Friday is all about what it means to be a beautiful woman inside and out, including makeup tips and a fashion show. On Saturday, girls find out how to walk in purity in today’s culture and what it means to live passionately for God.
‘Get Flushed’ is the theme — to flush the girls’ minds of what media is trying to tell them about how they should look, act and speak.
