Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

Here is a report on recent activity by the Houston Police Department:

Feb. 19

–Brandon M. Baker, 22, of Rolla, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Grand Avenue at about 9:20 p.m.

An officer pulled over the blue Chevrolet Silverado Baker was driving after observing it cross the centerline twice on U.S. 63 and again on Walnut Street.

Baker was ticketed after a routine computer check revealed that his license was suspended. He was advised to go home and not drive any more.

–Christine L. Strong, 22, of 608 W. Ozark Avenue in Houston, was issued a citation for improper vehicle registration after an officer observed the blue Chevrolet Lumina she was driving northbound on U.S. 63 at about 10 p.m. had expired tags.

A computer check indicated that the vehicle’s registration expired in December 2010.

The officer noted in his report that Strong had received a warning for the same violation two weeks earlier.

–Earlene J. Custis, 49, of 17303 Highway B in Houston, was issued a citation for improper vehicle registration after a officer observed the white Mercury Sable she was driving westbound on Highway 17 at about 7:15 p.m. had expired tags. A computer check indicated that the vehicle’s registration had expired in February 2010.

–The Cass County Sheriff’s Department called the Texas County Sheriff’s Department requesting that an officer attempt to locate Jessica A. Waldron, 28, at her residence at 611 Hawthorne Ave. because she had an active warrant for passing bad checks.

A Houston police officer responded and arrested Waldron and took her to the Texas County Jail.

March 1

–Kristin G. Norris, 28, of 8164 Morton Road, #9, in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after she was observed by an asset protection associate at Walmart shoplifting five items at about 3:20 p.m.

–Sharon L. Decker, 54, of 9896 Adkison Drive in Licking, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at about 11:45 p.m.

An officer pulled over the white car Decker was driving after observing it traveling at a low rate of speed southbound on U.S. 63 and then crossing the centerline as it turned west on to Holder Drive.

The officer smelled alcohol and conducted field sobriety tests and a used a portable breath test.

Decker was verbally warned for failure to drive on the right side of the road and she was taken to the Texas County Jail.

March 3

–Reed E. Ford, 19, of Hawthorn Street in Houston (house address unknown), was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

Ford reportedly was observed unresponsive in a classroom two days earlier and had been determined to be intoxicated.
