A Licking man died early this morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Carl Watson said in a news release that Steven L. Smith, 57 was found at his residence and airlifted to a Springfield hospital. Watson said surgery was performed, but Smith died in the early morning hours.
