A Cabool woman is arrested on numerous offenses, including dragging a woman down a road for about 1 1/2 miles, authorities said.

An incident April 18 at a Highway 181 residence at Cabool resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old Cabool woman by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.

When a visitor arrived, the home’s female resident reportedly confronted her with a shotgun, but the other took the gun away and pointed it at the house’s occupant and another woman in the house before throwing it in a mud puddle and smashing it with a large rock.

After that, two of the women reportedly became involved in a fight. The woman who came to the door then threatened to travel to a family grave in Douglas County and kill herself.

The suicidal woman left in a truck, the second woman in the house tried to stop her, but ended up being dragged for 1 1/2 miles while clinging to the door. When the driver finally slowed down, the woman let go and was reportedly run over by the truck’s rear tire.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol officer was involved in the investigation. As a result of the incident, the driver is charged with third-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree trespass, and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
