Sales tax revenue collected by Texas County merchants took a huge jump during the latest monthly distribution, the Missouri Department of Revenue reports.
The tally from three half-cent sales taxes was about $95,200 on each. That’s up more than $24,700 on each from the same period a year ago.
For the first quarter, the total of each is more than $241,100. That’s up about 7 percent for the year on each.
