A Houston woman faces multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a City of Houston police officer Friday night.
Shawn K. Soto, 40, is being held in the Texas County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond after twice pushing an officer and kicking him, according to Houston Police Chief Jim McNiell. The officer was treated at Texas County Memorial Hospital and released, McNiell said.
According to McNiell, officers responded to Soto’s residence on Augusta Street around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a complaint of loud music. McNiell said Soto, who was intoxicated and uncooperative, twice pushed an officer and after being arrested, kicked him.
Soto is charged with assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, interfering with arrest and six counts of supplying intoxicants to a minor.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted in the arrest.
