Skylar Malam and Erica Johnson each had third-place finishes for the Houston Middle School track team at the West Plains meet.
Malam, a seventh grader, leaped 4 feet, 10 inches in the high jump. Johnson, a seventh grade student from Success, threw the shot 27 feet, 9 inches.
Shelby Cremer was fourth in the triple jump and seventh in the hurdles for the seventh grade girls.
Keegan Spurlin finished fourth in the shot put for the eighth grade boys. The 4×400 relay team of Charlie Hall, Zach Gregory, Weston Phipps and A.J. Hoover placed fifth. Austin Schock finished sixth in the high jump and seventh in the discuss.
The eighth grade girls’ 4×200 relay team finished seventh. Members were Krista Scott, Kylee Elmore, Bailey Earp and Olivia Woosley. Elmore placed sixth in the high jump and Woosley had an eighth-place finish in the hurdles.
For the eighth grade boys, Malachi Sawyer was eighth in the high jump.
