Dean Capowski, of Plato, has been selected as the Missouri Department of Corrections (DOC) employee of the month for March.
Capowski has been employed with the DOC for 10 ½ years and is a corrections officer I at the South Central Correctional Center in Licking. He is being recognized because his contributions go above and beyond normal working duties.
In a letter to Capowski, DOC Director George A. Lombardi wrote, “With your outstanding efforts, you have upheld the safety and security of your co-workers and offenders on more than one occasion by keeping contraband out of the institution. Your ability to accept a diversity of job assignments and perform them at high levels benefits South Central Correctional Center, and the department as a whole.”
