Three persons were cited — and a woman treated for a broken leg — after Texas County authorities arrived at a Forest Drive residence on March 30.
Officers were dispatched to the home at about 6:30 p.m. regarding a disturbance involving several people.
As a result of the investigation, Belinda Bryant, 51, of 16464 Forest Drive in Houston, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after drug equipment was observed in plain view inside her residence.
Two other people at the scene also ended up being issued citations.
Christina Brotherton, 40, of 605 Hawthorn, in Houston, was cited for failing to obey an officer after refusing to stop yelling and cursing and refusing to identify herself.
Chad Akers, 35, of 10026 Highway 17 in Success, received citations for failure to obey and resisting arrest after refusing to stop interrupting the search of a vehicle at the scene and then refusing to allow handcuffs to be placed on him.
When officers arrived at Bryant’s residence, they observed five people in the yard, all of whom stated they had been consuming alcohol.
A female was observed on the ground with a compound fracture to her leg. EMT personnel arrived and took the woman to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
Charges of felon in possession of a firearm are pending against a woman who was at the scene.
