Samuel L. Cousins, 73, of 10578 Prairie Road in Bucyrus, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot Thursday at his residence.
After receiving notification of the incident, Texas County Sheriff’s Department officers arrived at the scene and found Cousins’ body laying in the yard near the front porch.
Cousins’ wife reportedly stated that her husband had been in poor health for the past few months and had been unable to eat or sleep.
