Deer collision
A Springfield woman was injured early Sunday in a crash that occurred when a deer was struck.

A 55-year-old Cabool woman was injured Tuesday morning when she swerved to miss a deer on Highway M four miles north of Cabool.

Tpr. Myron Downey of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Pamela L. Bennett was traveling northbound in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix when she attempted to miss the animal, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Bennett, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
