Carol J. Gann Routh, 66, died Sunday, May 1, 2011.

She was born Dec. 10, 1944, daughter of James H. and Marjorie O. Lee Gann. She and Gary L. Routh were married May 11, 1963.

She accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized in 1973. She served along with her husband as children’s church directors at New Life Freewill Baptist Church for 18 years.

She worked at and later owned Steinnerd Tax Service for 30 years. After retirement, she worked several years alongside her husband in the construction industry. She spent the past few years with her husband at Norfolk Lake, where she enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Marjorie; her husband, Gary; a son, James; a daughter, Leasa Cooper; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Services were Wednesday, May 4, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phillip McGuire officiating. Burial was in Prescott Cemetery.
