Cleo Price

Cleo Bernice Price, 83, of Success, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Texas Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

She was born March 20, 1928, in Chester, Ill., daughter of John William Boldwyn and Esther Dorothy Gerlach Boldwyn. She and Robert Eugene Price were married on Thanksgiving in November 1944 in St. Louis. He died July 2010.

She worked in a sewing plant during World War II and for a few years thereafter. She then retired to her home, where she worked fulltime taking care of her family. She and her husband moved to Houston 1946 and resided in the area almost continually since that time.

She loved gardening, especially working with her flowers and crocheting items for friends and families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 65 years, Robert.

Survivors include three children, James Edward Price of Excelsior Springs, Sharon Kay Price of Success and Kenneth Irwin Price of Emporia, Kan.; a brother, Harold, Boldwyn of Mt Vernon, Ill.; a sister, Iola Boldwyn of Mt Vernon, Ill.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services were Saturday, May 14, in Oak Hill Cemetery with Elder James Price officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
