Two Texas County townships will be shifted to Associate District No. 1 under a plan adopted by the Texas County Commission.
Pierce and Date townships in east Texas County will join Clinton, Morris, Piney, Cass, Burdine and Sargent townships in comprising Associate District 1, which is served by John Casey, associate commissioner.
Associate District No. 2, represented by Linda Garrett, will include Roubidoux, Upton, Lynch, Boone, Sherrill, Jackson, Current, Carroll and Ozark townships.
The realignment was sparked by new census figures.
Presiding commissioner is Fred Stenger.
