Houston seventh graders Shelby Cremer and Erica Johnson each had first-place finishes at last week’s SCA track meet.
Cremer was first in the triple jump with a leap of 27 feet, 7 inches. She also placed second in the 400 meters (1:14.32) and sixth in the 200 (33.72).
Johnson won the shotput with a toss of 28 feet, 8 inches. She also finished sixth in the discus (49-1).
Seventh grader Krista Scott was fifth in the 200 (33.61) and sixth in the 100 (15.53).
Kylee Elmore had a third-place finish in the high jump (4-4) for the eighth grade girls. She was also fifth in the 400 (1:13.72).
Olivia Woosley placed fourth in the 75-meter hurdles (14.80) and sixth in both the triple jump (26-1) and 200 (31.49).
Bailey Earp finished fourth in the triple jump (26-2) and sixth in the 100 (15.16).
The 4×200 relay team of Elmore, Woosley, Earp and Scott finished fourth.
For the seventh grade boys, D.J. McNew placed third in the 100 hurdles (20.45) and fifth in the triple jump (26.8).
Keegan Spurlin was third in the shotput (31-9) and fourth in discus (69-9).
Austin Schock finished third in the high jump (4-8) and sixth in discus (64-1).
Skylur Malam was fourth in the high jump (4-6) and fifth in the 400 (1:08.72).
A.J. Hoover placed fifth in the 1600 (6:01.85) and sixth in the 800 (2:53.19).
Weston Phipps was fifth in the long jump (12-5).
The 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 relays each finished second.
For the eighth grade boys, Austin Foster finished fourth in the 800 (2:27.67) and sixth in the triple jump (30-11).
Malachi Sawyer was sixth in the 100 (13.91) and high jump (4-8).
Lucas Walker was sixth in the 1600 (6:03.47).
