Two teenagers from Licking were injured Saturday, May 14, in a Highway 32 accident west of Salem.

Two Licking teenagers were injured late Saturday morning in a crash about eight miles west of Salem on Highway 32.

Tpr. Jeffrey Leathers of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 1998 Volkswagen driven eastbound by Amy L. Smith, 17, ran off the right side of the road, struck a fence and overturned in a field.

A passenger, Mariah D. Adams, 14, was taken by private vehicle to a hospital in Salem. Smith refused treatment.

Leathers said both occupants were wearing seat belts. The vehicle was totaled.
