MoDOT commissioners approved a massive restructuring Wednesday that will include closing the district office in Willow Springs.

Missouri Department of Transportation Director Kevin Keith will present a plan Wednesday to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission that includes “making the agency the right size to serve customers in light of a severe decline in transportation funding.”

The news came in the form a press release this afternoon to the Herald.

Rumors are swirling that the district office at Willow Springs may be on the chopping block.

The presentation occur tomorrow at the commission’s monthly meeting, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Room 100 of MoDOT’s Central Office Building, 105 West Capitol Ave., Jefferson City.
