Terry Risher, 54, son of the late Paul Risher and Dorotha Wade, was born Feb. 5, 1957, in Licking, Mo. He passed away May 18, 2011, in Houston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Risher; and two brothers, Carl Kennet Marshall and Richard “Skip” Marshall, Jr.
He married Debbie Bay on March 25, 1994. She survives him. He is also survived by his mother, Dot Wade and Rich Wade of Licking, Mo.; three sons, Terry Paul Risher of Springfield, Mo,, Bryan Blair of Louisville, Ky., and Leonard Bay and wife, Angie, of Houston, Mo.; three daughters, Tondy Mello and husband, Jeremy, of Springfield, Mo., Kristy Sanders of Waverly, Tenn., and Tina Bay of Licking, Mo.; one brother, Freddie Paul Risher and wife, Tammy, of Fulton, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, Noah, Jacob, Savanna, Tori, Levi, Kasey, Trevor, Taylor, Jacob, Colby, Kelsey, Evan, Bailey and Brad. He is also survived by other family members and friends made through the years.
Terry attended school in Raymondville, Mo., and Kirksville, Mo. Terry was a rock layer. He owned his own business, Risher Rock, and had completed several building restorations in the Houston community. The last project he worked on was the Houston Visitor Center, which also houses the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce offices. He enjoyed his work and took pleasure in the completion of each job.
Terry was a member of the Teamsters Local 15.
He had several hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, going into the woods and cutting pine trees. He loved music and played the drums.
He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Services were 3 p.m. Friday, May 20, in the Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
Wesley Wallace officiated with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Josh Colgan, Leonard Bay, Garnett Sliger, Ken Richar, Jeff Hock, and Shorty Hutsell.
